"Humans appreciate the beauty of sameness" To me, I feel that this is true... Every single day in RP, I did the same thing for the first and second meeting (PDT & Worksheet discussion) for almost every single module with my teammates, which are, sharing my opinions and ideas, learning from each other + research. Third meeting is an exception because some modules don’t require us to present using PPT! (Freedom of choice) Anyway, eventually, we gain the same knowledge and at best, try to avoid doing the same mistakes over and over again. Also, not forgetting, the compulsory RJ too!
Doing the same thing everyday could sometimes be boring but at the same time, it felt just like a daily basis. I didn’t realise I was doing it again and again until I started thinking about it. I kept saying to myself that things in RP will only get better and better, semester by semester, little by little. I didn’t feel bored but used to it because of maybe, the interest/passion.
Come to think of it this way, last semester was a boring one compared to now because I’ve hated maths and science. Now, instead of maths and science, we have creative concepts and media arts! It is more to what I am looking forward to in taking this diploma/course. Also, my classmates are all from the same school! STA-A-A!! We share the same interest/passion and I feel that that is the ‘Beauty in the Sameness’ of what I do in RP every single day, which is, meeting them every day and doing things with the same energy makes me feel more driven to come to class with a positive mindset although I don’t really like working with this one particular person and be his team mates for 4 different modules consecutively but I can do nothing about it as life is never fair. Different people have different personalities and I’ll need to find a way to work it well. It’s never easy but at least, I’ve tried.
Still, life is beautiful because people value the beauty in the sameness. =]

Caution: REVULSION/disgust + HILARITY song: Bodysnatcher by Radiohead
PS: My Reflection Journal for today's problem was pure random... Thanks a lot Darren (read the response if you want to know why)!
EMOTIONAL AWARENESS
Talk about an instance when you had an emotional response that was inappropriate for the situation you were in. How were you affected by your reaction to this?
Response: Wow, I just shared a thought on Facebook and I have afriend who responded with the emotion that I didn't expect.
What I wrote was, 'watch PROJECT HOPE now on channel 5 and Suria if you care! =]'
My purpose was to convince my friends to give support to this charity show in bringing hope for the victims of the recent disaster to rebuild their lives through medications, homes to stay and that it is not over for them.
Initially, his respond was, 'I care...' and I replied,'very good! keep it up =]'
However, next he replied in somewhat a sarcastic way which is telling me as if I am a heartless person.
He said this, 'Dun tell me u don't care cos of fundraising...I did a fundraising event Under Mercy Relief and with a group of cool friends afterall...'
I felt affected because I didn't expect a respond so sarcastic like this. It seemed as so I was making a joke about this charity show.
With this, I've come to reflect that I have to pick the right choice of words. Perhaps I should rephrase it to, 'Please give your support to PROJECT HOPE by watching it now on channel 5 and Suria! Tell me you guys care because I care too! =]'
After all, different people have different interpretation. Some need to be explained thoroughly in order to make them understand the message.
Anyway, I've done that and I'm glad he understand...hence, the problem is resolved. I even told him that I've donated $10. Beats me, I'm just a student and I have not work nor do I have experience in one, at least, I did my part and I hope the others in Singapore will donate generously too because we are trying to give hopes to affected countries (size of the affected countries/cities are bigger than Singapore; imagine the population).
I want to make this PROJECT HOPE a success; I know I can't do it alone, so I shared the link and my thoughts on Facebook, hoping that it will be effective.

That video above, is supposed to be played in mute! It is a short clip on 'honesty', for the hearing impaired people. In other words, you must pretend to be deaf when you are watching that clip..ok? cause Creative concepts module is the module that don't really require a powerpoint presentation, as the choice of presentation is open! Last week, my team did a role play. This week, we did that video, hahah! oh..tomorrow will be digital media arts and i can't wait! lol, im not being sarcastic to say this but really, im loving this semester already! its way way better than previous semester and im gonna try my best to make sure that it will always get better and better...for me and my team! still, i kinda miss my previous class environment, e35h, although i find both e35h and my current class, e35l, equally decent...
Because you wouldn't give up, you'll be able to see a dream. Because you are able to see the dream, the future will come...I am a dreamer!

Raya with secondary school friends - last monday - was indeed the most memoriable one for me despite the humid, hot weather everyone's complaining about! LOLs!! hahahs.. 22 of us in total; see, you can count them all in these pictures:
We went to each other's home, about 12 houses in 12 hours, travel time included! Had loads of mee gorengs and good food but most of them are spicy..haahahs and at the end of the day, I have yet to calculate how much $$ i collected for hari raya. It was sooo old school to ask each other about that! lol...we are already 17, 18 years going 19 years old but this stuff is nostalgic! Sooner or later, it will be our turn to give away $$ to little kids...but right now, we're still kids! till we meet again, its not goodbye! hehe =D
ps: all pictures here are edited by yours truely and if you have got nothing better to do, go and look for all the original unglam ones uploaded by my friends on facebook! go go GO..!! hahah..LOL ^-^

Hari Raya had been really fun, but tiring just like every year! hahahs cz the few days before the day itself, I stayed up till morning, helping out with the ketupat and some cookings, cleaning and decorating while my sibblings and some others were busy munching on the butter cookies which i made with my mum...lucky we did extras or else there'd be none left for the guests! and i wasn't sleepy at all (except in the early evenings..i have no idea why but shhsh! yes, not dawn but evenings..lol)
hmmm..i'd like to highlight that this year, i followed my family to geylang at 3am till 5am plus...its quite a surprise for me to see soo many people there at that hour! afterall, the last time i went there on the day before raya at that hour was when i was a kid. i have always hated the crowd(especially those who did not smile) but i love the exitement! hehe..
spending time with cousins who slept over and on the day itself, many guests came had made me felt really happy and wished that the feelings would stay that way! we do the forgive and forget hugs in between the time when there's no guests because they started coming at 11am and it never ends till the night of the 2nd day of raya...on the 3rd day onwards, its our turn to visit our relatives home.
recently, my eyes were kind of watery due to the lack of zzZZZzzsleep. today, my family did not went out...and there's no guests who came so i'll take it as a day-off hari raya to slack! yeah, good time!! long hours of sleep, dreamt of candyness, so sweet and beautiful nightmares...played facebook applications and tagging the photos which i took during raya using my camera. my sister borrowed my camera (the one she present to me as a birthday gift) but never returned it, for almost a quarter of the year. mind you it is my camera but because its hari raya, i shall forgive her. sincere eh..hahahash! maybe i'll give back that camera to her and someday, i'll buy a better one!
side-track: driving license i don't understand why people around my age and teenagers are dying (as in compulsory) to get it even after failing their 1st test..etc. i know i don't, although i want it and i dream of having a sports car, how glamourous it can be (like F1 rocks!) but its really not necessary unless you are financially ready cause to me, once you have it, you need a vehicle! think about the road tax, coupons, erp, fuel, slow traffic, season parking or rent..etc..how troublesome and expensive it can get unlike the mass rapid train public transport (mrt). it gets you to your destination in a jiffy. just walk a few distance from your home to the station takes a couple of minutes and is a really good exercise [maybe thats what keeps me from growing fat?]. plus, you don't have to take any tests or basic theory to ride an mrt. just tap your ezlink, it will deduct a few cents and ride. you don't even have to drive...haahahs! also, shuttle bus are free rides! ~_^
ps: i don't ride taxi/bus... i rather take the mrt! heh
last but not least,
alright, i'll end the post here! till the next update, take care!
